My Week in Photos: Sinulog Novena Mass and More

Hi everyone!

For most of you who just had their Christmas Break or Yuletide Vacay, officially going back to school (or in some cases, work) during this time is something excruciating. Feel me? :p

Here's a recap of what happened in my life from January 5th (Sunday) to 11th (Saturday):

  • I decided to curl my hair for a change. And no, it isn't permanent. It was Sunday and I was feeling a bit bored of my usual look. So, I grabbed my hair straightener and curled my locks. It's actually very possible. Check out some Youtube beauty bloggers who did it successfully. The results? I wasn't even close to being satisfied with it. Hahaha. My mother and boyfriend thought so.
It isn't complete without a selfie. Haha.
  • Weekend date with boyfie + NCLEX review. This was our first date of the year! We pretty had rough times last year, but we were able to fix them thank goodness. We went to Carmelite Monastery to attend a, errr, special mass. Then, we hit SM for some errands. Afterwards, we decided to go to Parkmall to frolick. But in this case, we ended up sipping frappes in Bo's Coffee and answered practice questions from his newly bought NCLEX review book.
Awwww. Why so serious, love? :3
  • I definitely struggled with my word count and work, in general. What a shame. At this time, I couldn't even properly write and produce "acceptable" articles. My mind was wandering off and the right words were off the hook. Last Monday, I experienced a terrible headache and gastritis attack which I had to endure because, you know, filing for an undertime is for sissies. Kidding. The building's elevators were unavailable, so I had to climb the stairs to reach the 9th floor. Not bad for a midmorning exercise. xD

Happy candlecakes day to our ever-dynamic General Manager! Got these sweet goodies. Yum!
  • I'm broke as hell. Gone is my 13th month pay and Christmas bonus. Thank God the company offers free lunch and surprise snacks. Hehehe.

Not a sad desk lunch. Thanks Ela for these "parting" desserts! Content Dev will be missing you a lot. :(
Let's see... Chocolates in different forms? Sweeeeet.
  • It's Sinulog Novena marathon, y'all! My work schedule plus the cranky weather wouldn't allow me to attend the Novena held in Basilica del Sto. Niño Church. However, I took a day-off (no, emergency leave) to accompany my mom to the doctor's clinic. Afterwards, we attended the yearly Sinulog Novena mass.
All gathered for the Sinulog Novena marathon.
A week from now and we'll be celebrating Cebu's most awaited festival: SINULOG! Soooo excited for this coming week. How about you guys?

Have a great week ahead! ^_^
